Animais ameaçados de extinção no Brasil. - Endangered animals in Brazil.

Cervo-do-pantanal (Blastocerus dichotomus)

The marsh deer (Blastocerus dichotomus)

The largest deer of South America, the deer-in-Pantal, is found in the Amazon, Cerrado and Pantanal floodplain. Live near swampy areas and has webbed hooves that prevent the animal from sinking in the mud and assist in swimming. Poaching and the conversion of wetlands for agriculture are the threats faced by the species.
